Charlotte, NC – October 4, 2008 –Desiree Summers and Vessel Hope Ventures Into Endurance Racing For Hope.
Desiree Summers President of Vessel Hope announces their partnering with Toto Lassally, President and CEO of Speedcom Communications, in the 3rd Edition Toyo Tires 24 Hours of Dubai on January 10th - 12th, in a BMW 120 D Turbo Diesel promoting Vessel Hope and Camp Boggy Creek. Toto Lassally’s last competitive race was five years ago, but the motorsports entrepreneur has been testing his speed in race cars throughout the year. He will be racing with long time teammate, Cor Euser of the Netherlands, in the Marcos Racing International Entry. "I am really excited about getting back in the driver’s seat. And most of all to be able to race at such a prestigious venue with my old friend and co driver Cor Euser" said Lassally.
Not only is Lassally looking forward to the race in the Middle East, but he is also racing to build awareness and raise funds for Camp Boggy Creek and Vessel Hope. Camp Boggy Creek is a year round camp for seriously ill children based in Central Florida which Vessel Hope has partnered with as well. Summers and Lassally invites friends and fans to participate in this exciting race by pledging a donation per lap or upon completion of the race to benefit Boggy Creek. You can visit www.vesselhope.com to contribute to Boggy Creek and get updates of the race action. Vessel Hope provides a vehicle for people to have a safe place to give to others in need, 100% of the pledge collected will go to Camp Boggy Creek. Once the race is completed a Vessel Hope representative will be in contact via phone to finalize the pledge.
This past December Desiree visited Camp Boggy Creek, and since she has kept the camp close to her heart. With this upcoming race Summers and Lassally are looking to bring more light and hope to the camp. "Since I met the campers and saw the facilities I have not been able to take my mind off the camp”, said Desiree Summers.
